Saron Zironlock
Automaton
Paladin
Saron Zironlock’s tale begins in the shadows beneath Kazrund-Thol, where the echoes of ancient forges mingle with the solemn prayers of forgotten gods. Forged eight centuries ago in the First Forge, Saron was crafted not as a weapon, but as a guardian—his heart tempered with purpose, his mind sparked to life by the divine energies of the place. For decades, he served as a sentinel in the Grand Coliseum of Ironhaven, where champions and beasts clashed for glory. Though neither flesh nor bone, Saron earned respect as the “Dragonfly Knight,” named for the way he darted across the sands, wings of brass and light shimmering as he subdued chaos with calm resolve.
Yet, Saron longed for meaning beyond spectacle. When a hunter from the Empire of Vathis fell in the arena, Saron knelt beside the mortally wounded man, reciting a prayer he’d learned from a visiting cleric. Something awakened—a calling that led him to pledge himself as a paladin, vowing to protect those lost in the world’s endless contests. Now, Saron wanders Renaris, drawn by whispers of injustice and the promise of redemption. He seeks the origin of a cryptic sigil glimpsed on the hunter’s blade, believing it may unlock the secret of his own creation—or the fate of others like him.
