Coleman Gingersnap hails from the rolling hills of the Hearthland Territories, born to a family of modest farmers on the edge of Bramblebloom. From an early age, Coleman was more interested in the creatures of the fields and forests than in tilling the land. He gained a reputation among villagers for his knack with wild animals, once calming a rampaging ox with just a whispered tune and a handful of oats. As he grew, wanderlust tugged at him; he left home to roam the Golden Lane, guiding merchant caravans and using his wit and nimble tongue to steer clear of trouble—or into it, when the mood struck.
Coleman’s most famous tale involves the old stone bridge over Emberbrook River. When a lich from the Ruins of Eldoria tried to claim the crossing, Coleman rallied the local halflings, luring the undead with a wild goose chase and a series of cunning deceptions. The bridge was saved, and the lich vanished into the mists, cursing his name. Now, Coleman drifts from village to village, helping those in need, always ready with a crooked smile and a story (only half true). Yet, he’s never stayed in one place long—some say he’s still watching the bridges, waiting for the next shadow to slither out from the ruins.
